MISSION
When hanging pictures, even the smallest margin of error can be noticeable. From drilling precise holes to the careful placement, achieving a delicate alignment of art demands extra care and attention. This meticulous approach is the key to attaining the perfect result.
Alexander drew on his own practical experience and common sense, as well as his willingness to take feedback from others to heart in creating UFO: the tool that enables and simplifies the perfect placement of art frames. UFO offers extra wiggle room for amateurs and professionel exhibitors alike, and is durable as well as reusable.
UFO® is a registered trademark. Its design being reminiscent of that of a flying saucer, we slightly altered the common abbreviation to ‘Unidentified Framed Object’. ‘Unidentified’ refers to its mysterious design which only reveals its secrets when observing the placement of the art frame, ‘Framed’ refers to UFO® staying within the framework it supports, while ‘Object’ speaks for itself.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Meet Alexander, a passionate and creative metal worker and welder from Ghent who’s also well experienced in technical drawing. Next to his independent activities he sometimes shares his passion with others as an adult education teacher. As various pupils exhibit various levels of experience, the quest for the perfect result requires a healthy dose of flexibility and an always present problem-solving mindset.
3D PRINTING
With the flexibility of 3D printing, we can swiftly adjust to modifications in production procedures, enabling us to craft personalized UFOs within a brief timeframe.
LOCAL BUSINESS
It always starts with just an idea. And that’s exactly what happened. I had an idea and created UFO, that’s basically it. For now it’s an one-man business, located and printed in Ghent. Sometimes with the help of a local and inclusive workshop for packaging.

SUSTAINABILITY
Our UFO’s are all 3D printed, which creates the opportunity to use less material per piece than in other production lines. We use fillament from recycled bottles and plastic packaging from a supplier within Europe.
